All or Nothing
The Brief
In early 2021, we were delighted to extend our working relationship with Kelly Formwork, a construction contractor in London, as well as Ross Austen who is their mental health ambassador.
The company tasked us with making a proof of concept film which showcased Ross’s current challenge - to become the best Crossfit athlete within his division.
Production
Filmed on location in North Devon, cameras rolled in the winter/spring of 2021. Stylistically, we opted for a rough, dirty look and feel to heighten the tension. Ross’s self-set mission is admirable, inspiring, but also very dramatic and abundant with danger. We wanted to put people in the room with Ross, to feel the hardship of every lift and brutal exercise tests that his coaches put him through. We hope that the viewers feel the burden of the task that Ross has set himself, but also inspired by his sheer determination and his will to succeed.
Editing & Finishing
Working with producers Suzy Paradise & Drew Janda, we fulfilled editing and colouring duties in-house ready for the film to be submitted to multiple film festival around the world. Ross’s story is a continual journey of self-improvement. We’ll be checking in with him again for the next step of his adventure.
